Happy Birthday Rosie
This is the latest picture I can find of me and Rosie. It was taken during her engagement party, just slightly before I came over to Japan.
I have known Rosie for a long time now, all 26 years of our lives. She is not only a dear sister to me she was my first friend, my first playmate. We grew up together, playing with the same Barbie dolls, went to the same schools and shared a bedroom all our lives. Of course there were times when we would quarrelled over the silliest things and pissed each other off but at the end of the day there is not a single doubt of the close bond that we share.
It is hard to imagine come this November things will not be the same anymore. My beautiful sister is getting married and I am so happy that she had found a man deserving to spend the rest of life with. I know it may sound a little silly or over dramatic but on the other hand, I can't help but feel a little sad that we will not be staying under the same roof again. Of course we can always visit one another anytime, what with the tiny island we all live in but it just does not feel the same. I know I am gonna miss those long chats we always have over tea during most weekend nights and our bedtime talks. I know I am gonna miss sharing clothes with her too.
On this special day, I wanna thank Rosie for being the most wonderful sister anyone could have and for all the things and times we share.
