the cubicle people

These are the people whom i shared a cubicle with at the bank.
We worked hard, laughed and panicked at issues together and i will always recall fondly the times we shared. The cubicle was often called "Japan Island" by our other colleagues for several reasons. Mainly it's because we were part of the Japan desk and serviced mainly Japanese clients. Location wise, we sat at the far end of the department and thus quite isolated from where the main 'happening' cubicles are. I thought the name was pretty apt too cos most of the times we are the last people to learn of any news and gossips.
This is one of my favourite picture of me and my cubicle mates. It was taken on the day of the professional makeover that was arranged by the bank which explains why we were all in suits that day.
It makes me a little sad to think that we will probably never work together like this again. Those crazy days have become a distant past. Ros is going to do her Masters in Hokkaido this coming October; Yen Ling and i are on the same program though she is heading for Aomori. And as for Caihui, she too has other plans waiting. Whatever and wherever it is, i hope everyone will be happy where they are and with what they do. 3 cheers for the cubicle people!
